Teacher professional development will incorporate best practice elements identified in the literature, namely: content-based learning; reflective personalised learning; and interaction between teachers through online discussion forums. Content-based professional learning will be delivered in an online environment embracing both written content and video tutorial presentations at an overarching whole-of-program level as well as specific to each learning activity. The website will provide opportunities for teachers to reflect on their learning as well as their lesson implementation. Also, a moderated ‘online community’ will enable teachers to engage in professional conversations with their peers to share experiences teaching the materials and to seek advice from one another. The online Professional Learning will also provide active links to other websites and sources of information for teachers and students.
